Allows professionals with valid licenses, certificates, or registrations in good standing from another state to practice in Colorado for up to nine months before meeting Colorado licensing requirements.

Requires out-of-state professionals to have no disqualifications other than lack of Colorado licensure, consent to Colorado's jurisdiction and discipline, and must apply for Colorado licensure prior to practicing.

Mandates written disclosure of license status to clients or customers, including on business cards and websites, indicating the state where currently licensed and marking Colorado license as "pending".

Prohibits applicants denied licensure from continuing to practice in Colorado as of the denial date, though applicants have up to one year to meet educational or continuing education requirements after application.

Excludes optometrists and physician assistants from this provision and requires applicants to reside in Colorado within 60 days of application or lose authorization to practice under this section.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
