CO HB1212

Amends the definition of "single-district program" in Colorado Revised Statutes 22-30.7-102(13) to allow on-line programs authorized by a board of cooperative services to serve students from multiple member districts while still being classified as single-district programs.

Adds boards of cooperative services created pursuant to section 22-5-104 to the list of entities authorized to create or oversee single-district on-line education programs in section 22-30.7-105(1)(a).

Removes language that restricted programs authorized by multiple districts or cooperative services boards to serving only students within authorizing districts or member districts.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.

Declared necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety under the safety clause provision.
