Senate Bill 12-011 Summary

• Establishes a differential response pilot program allowing five selected county departments to address known or suspected intrafamilial child abuse or neglect cases assessed as low or moderate risk, effective April 15, 2010.

• Designates the Executive Director of the State Department to select which five county departments participate in the pilot program, referred to as "participating county departments."

• Requires the state board to promulgate rules to define and implement differential response and administer the pilot program.

• Mandates that each participating county department submit a report to the state department by November 1, 2014, concerning the department's administration of the pilot program.
