• For bills introduced after day 115 of a legislative session, legislative staff must make reasonable attempts to accept business comments rather than enforce the strict five-day deadline.

• The notice summarizes the range of fiscal impacts claimed by commenters and includes any methodology used; for bills, the notice accompanies the fiscal note, and for rules, it is forwarded to the relevant department and posted online.

• Legislative Council staff shall not conduct independent analyses or draw conclusions about the comments received.
