Adds "correctional facility" to the definition of facilities covered under Colorado's unused medication reuse statute, defining it as facilities under federal, state, or county supervision where persons are held in custody following criminal conviction, including jails, detention centers, and private contract prisons.

Permits correctional facilities to return unused medications, medical supplies, and medical devices to an in-facility pharmacist or prescription drug outlet for redispensing to another patient or donation to nonprofit entities or authorized practitioners.

Takes effect 90 days after final adjournment of the general assembly (August 8, 2012), subject to potential referendum petition and voter approval in November 2012.
