HB13-1030 Summary

• Increases Transportation Commission membership from 11 to 13 members by adding 2 at-large members appointed by the governor
• One at-large member must reside on the western slope and one on the eastern slope, but both represent the entire state and focus on statewide transportation needs
• At-large members serve 4-year terms, except the western slope member serves an initial 2-year term beginning July 1, 2013, to stagger future appointments
• At-large members must maintain residency on their respective slope or automatically resign from the commission
