• Allows owners of rental special mobile machinery to file specific ownership tax reports electronically with the Department of Revenue instead of submitting paper forms to county agents.

• Owners continue to collect 2 percent specific ownership tax from equipment users and must submit reports by the 20th of each month, with payment remitted to the appropriate county.

• When filing electronically, owners are not required to submit separate reports to county authorized agents; the Department of Revenue makes report information available to agents in relevant counties.

• Appropriates $98,411 and 0.4 FTE to the Department of Revenue for fiscal year 2013-2014 to implement the electronic reporting system.

• Effective January 1, 2014 for all reports filed on or after that date.
