Secretary of State shall request demographic and business information from individuals filing business documents, including gender, race/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, and National American Industry Classification System codes beginning 30 days after the bill's effective date.

Submission of the requested information is voluntary and not required from individuals or reporting entities.

Secretary of State shall make all submitted information publicly available on its website in a searchable format.

Appropriates $74,592 from the department of state cash fund for fiscal year 2013-2014 to cover information technology services and contract programming for implementation.

Act takes effect January 1, 2014, but is subject to voter approval at the November 2014 general election and will only take effect upon official declaration of approval by the Governor.
