CO HB1203

Eliminates the requirement for political subdivisions to file an annual list of contracts with the Division of Local Government by February 1 of each year.

Replaces mandatory annual reporting with a response-based system requiring political subdivisions to provide contract lists within 30 days of receiving a written request from the Division of Local Government.

Requires contracting local governments to file copies of contracts establishing separate governmental entities within ten days of execution, including any amendments or modifications.

Specifies that failure to make required filings does not invalidate any contract referred to in the statute.

Takes effect August 7, 2013, or upon voter approval in November 2014 if a referendum petition is filed.
