Insurers authorized to offer insurance in Colorado may provide policies, endorsements, riders, and advertising materials in languages other than English.

If an insurer provides materials in a non-English language, it must also provide an English version of the same materials at the same time.

In disputes or complaints regarding insurance or advertising materials, the English language version controls the resolution.

Non-English language policies comply with state insurance regulations if the insurer certifies the policy is translated from a compliant English language policy.

Insurers must maintain copies of all translated policies, endorsements, riders, and explanatory or advertising materials and make them available for review by the insurance commissioner upon request.
