• Mandates the State Auditor conduct performance audits of at least two departments annually, reviewing performance measure integrity, accuracy of reported results, and cost-effectiveness of audited programs in achieving legislative intent and departmental goals.

• Requires departments to publish annual performance reports by November 1 summarizing performance plans and evaluations, limited to four pages per department, posted on department websites and the Office of State Planning and Budgeting website.

• Appropriates $89,971 and 0.3 FTE to the legislative department for fiscal year 2013-2014 to implement the act and clarifies interim committee procedures by requiring legislative members to submit written requests to the Legislative Council by the 94th day of regular sessions.
