Department of Revenue must allow applicants age 65 or older to renew state-issued identification cards by electronic means if they attest under penalty of perjury to being lawfully present in the United States and a Colorado resident, and pay any required fees.

Applicants age 65 or older may electronically renew identification cards every renewal period, whereas other applicants may only renew by mail every other renewal period.

Appropriates $4,588 from the licensing services cash fund to the Department of Revenue for fiscal year 2013-2014 to implement electronic renewal technology.

Appropriates $4,588 to the office of information technology for computer center services supporting the Department of Revenue's implementation.

Act takes effect August 7, 2013 (or following ninety-day period after adjournment) and applies to identification card renewals on or after January 1, 2014.
