Authorizes school district boards of education to adopt written policies allowing employees to carry concealed handguns on school grounds if the employee holds a valid concealed handgun permit.

Authorizes governing boards of charter schools and institute charter schools to adopt similar written policies allowing employees to carry concealed handguns on school property.

Permits school boards to include additional requirements beyond a valid permit, including mandatory training for employees carrying concealed handguns.

Amends Colorado's concealed carry permit law to permit employees of school districts and charter schools to carry concealed handguns onto school property in accordance with their school's written policy.

Declares the act necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
