Creates limited peace officer authority for United States Secret Service agents (special agents, uniform division officers, physical security technicians, specialists, and special officers) operating in Colorado.

Secret Service agents function as peace officers when responding to nonfederal felonies or misdemeanors committed in their presence, responding to emergencies involving injury or threat of injury requiring immediate action, assisting Colorado peace officers upon request, or participating in task forces or joint investigations with Colorado law enforcement.

Secret Service agents must immediately surrender custody of any arrested individual to a Colorado peace officer and must act in accordance with their employing agency's rules and regulations.

State of Colorado is not liable for Secret Service agent actions under this authority and the law does not expand federal law enforcement authority to independently investigate violations of Colorado law.
