Prohibits peace officers described in sections 16-2.5-121, 16-2.5-122, 16-2.5-123, 16-2.5-125, 16-2.5-126, 16-2.5-128, or 16-2.5-129 from obtaining or holding any alcohol beverage license.

Allows peace officers described in sections 16-2.5-103, 16-2.5-105, 16-2.5-108, 16-2.5-132, or 16-2.5-149 to obtain alcohol beverage licenses only if the licensed premises is located outside the jurisdiction that employs the officer.

Continues existing prohibitions on state licensing authority employees and inspectors from obtaining alcohol beverage licenses.

Takes effect 90 days after the 2013 legislative session ends (August 7, 2013) unless a referendum petition is filed, in which case it requires voter approval at the November 2014 general election.

Governor John W. Hickenlooper approved the bill.
