• Increases maximum unemployment benefits for participating employees from eighteen to twenty-six weeks.

• Adds new requirements for work share plans including federal tax act compliance descriptions, employee notification procedures, estimated layoff numbers, and employer certification of legal compliance.

• Allows eligible employees to participate in employer-sponsored and federally-funded workforce training programs approved by the Department of Labor and Employment to enhance job skills.
