HB 14-1174 Summary

• Extends the sunset date for the Colorado Natural Areas Council from July 1, 2014 to September 1, 2024, allowing continued operations unless the General Assembly votes to terminate it.

• Requires the council to cease all operations within twelve months after September 1, 2024 if the General Assembly does not vote to renew its legislative mandate.

• Mandates the Department of Regulatory Agencies to review the advisory committee prior to the termination date as provided in section 2-3-1203, C.R.S.

• Removes the July 1, 2014 sunset date from the advisory committee repeal schedule and adds September 1, 2024 as the new scheduled repeal date for the Natural Areas Council.

• Takes effect July 1, 2014.
