Amends Colorado Revised Statutes 18-12-214 to authorize school security officers employed or contracted by charter schools to carry concealed handguns on school property while on duty.

Extends an existing exemption that previously applied only to school district security officers to now include charter school security officers who possess valid concealed carry permits.

Requires that security officers carrying concealed handguns must be on duty at the time of carrying and must have a valid concealed carry permit.

Applies to public elementary, middle, junior high, and high school properties and improvements.

Declared necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety per safety clause provision.
