• Authorizes the Department of Corrections to use the day surgery center building at the Denver Reception and Diagnostic Center as an auxiliary medical facility instead of its original purpose.

• Permits the executive director of the Department of Corrections to amend or modify the existing lease-purchase agreement and related agreements originally authorized under House Bill 10-1083 (2010) to accommodate the new auxiliary medical facility use.

• Allows the Department of Corrections to make lease-purchase agreement payments from clinical services funds or other moneys appropriated by the General Assembly.

• Declares the act necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety under the safety clause provision.
