Establishes a legal definition of "great-grandparent" as a person related to a child by blood, adoption, or marriage through the child's grandparent, excluding those whose parental rights have been terminated.

Extends existing grandparent visitation rights to great-grandparents by amending Colorado Revised Statutes 19-1-117 to allow great-grandparents to seek court-ordered reasonable visitation rights when there is or has been a child custody case or allocation of parental responsibilities case.

Great-grandparents may seek visitation in situations where the child's grandparent (who is the child of the great-grandparent) has died, following the same procedures and standards applicable to grandparents.

Courts must find that great-grandparent visitation is in the best interests of the child before granting visitation rights, and great-grandparents cannot file more than one visitation affidavit every two years without good cause.

Updates related statutes governing child custody proceedings, parenting time modifications, and enforcement of visitation orders to include great-grandparent visitation rights on equal footing with grandparent visitation rights.
