SB14-053 Summary

• Requires the transportation commission to include a project in both the statewide transportation plan and statewide transportation improvement program to functionally update or ensure safe use of all elements of the state transportation system located on Interstate 25 near mile marker 108

• Requirement applies unless prohibited by federal law or regulations and notwithstanding any other provision of state law

• Adds subsection (7) to Colorado Revised Statutes section 43-1-1103 (Transportation planning)

• Effective date is August 6, 2014, unless a referendum petition is filed within 90 days after final adjournment, in which case the measure requires approval at the November 2014 general election to take effect
