SB 14-107 Summary

• Amends Colorado Revised Statutes 24-31-108 to clarify that the Department of Law must transmit all moneys collected from gifts, grants, and donations to the state treasurer for credit to the appropriate fund.

• Specifies that gifts, grants, or donations credited to a fund that qualify as state moneys are continuously appropriated to the Department of Law for purposes of the article.

• Removes the requirement for the Department of Law to include an annual report to the joint budget committee describing receipt and expenditure of such moneys.

• Repeals the entire provision effective July 1, 2015.

• Takes effect August 6, 2014, unless a referendum petition is filed, in which case it requires approval by voters at the November 2014 general election.
