• Amends the definition of "transitional living" in Colorado Revised Statutes 25.5-6-703(10) to remove the six-to-twelve-month time limitation for the program.

• Changes the program requirement from a "six-to-twelve-month period" to an open-ended duration while maintaining the nonmedical residential program structure.

• Continues to require training and twenty-four-hour supervision for recipients to enhance their ability to live more independently.

• Designates the act as necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety under the safety clause provision.
