Local boards of education must implement a licensed personnel evaluation system based on quality standards established by the state board, including student academic growth, beginning in the 2014-15 academic year.

For the 2014-15 academic year only, local boards may determine the percentage weight (if any) to assign to student academic growth in calculating final effectiveness ratings for evaluated personnel.

Student academic growth may not be weighted at greater than 50 percent when determining a final level of effectiveness for any licensed person receiving an evaluation.

The provision allowing local boards to determine the weighting percentage for student academic growth is repealed effective July 1, 2015, after which all boards must follow standard weighting requirements.
