Special district budgets must now include adopted budget resolutions, money appropriations, and mill levy rate resolutions filed with the state division within 30 days of the fiscal year beginning.

Special districts must file a copy of their annual notice to electors (required by January 15) with county clerks, county commissioners, county assessors, county treasurers, and the state division.

The state division must post special district election results on its official website in readily accessible form, and provide a link to these results on the Secretary of State's website.

Board member names and contact information, including the board chair name, must be included in the annual notice to electors provided to eligible voters.

Subdistricts and special improvement districts established after the effective date must include the parent special district's name in their own names for clarity and identification purposes.
