Protects business owners and operators from civil liability for damages resulting from their policy allowing concealed handguns on their premises by permit holders.

Applies only to damages alleged to result from adopting a concealed carry policy, not to other types of claims against the business.

Requires that individuals carrying concealed handguns possess a valid permit issued under Colorado Revised Statutes Section 18-12-206.

Does not affect liability of other businesses that prohibit firearms or diminish any rights afforded to such businesses under existing law.

Takes effect 90 days after final adjournment of the general assembly (August 5, 2015), unless subject to a referendum petition filed within that period, in which case approval by voters in November 2016 is required.
