HB15-1140 Summary

• Requires voters registering on or immediately prior to election day to provide one of eight specified forms of photo identification.

• Acceptable forms of identification include Colorado driver's license, state ID card, U.S. passport, federal or state employee ID card, pilot's license, military ID card, Colorado college student ID card, or veterans health identification card.

• Applies to any election conducted on or after the effective date of the act.

• Requires the Secretary of State to submit the measure to Colorado voters on the November 3, 2016 ballot for approval or rejection under referendum procedures.
