HB15-1152: Concealed Handgun Carry Without Permit

• Allows persons at least 21 years old who legally possess a handgun under state and federal law to carry a concealed handgun in Colorado without a permit.

• Grants permit-less concealed carry authority equal in all respects to current permit-based authority under Colorado Revised Statutes 18-12-214.

• Maintains all existing limitations on concealed handgun carry, including the prohibition on carrying concealed handguns on public elementary, middle, junior high, or high school grounds.

• Extends the same concealed carry authority and limitations to college and university grounds under the same conditions.

• Takes effect upon passage and applies to offenses committed on or after the effective date.
