Requires the State Workforce Development Council and Department of Education to coordinate efforts to support public schools in connecting students with career and workforce opportunities.

Mandates collaboration between the two agencies to provide technical assistance regarding federal and state career programs, identify local industry needs, develop resources for school-industry partnerships, and facilitate industry engagement in middle and high school classrooms.

Directs the agencies to work with state agencies and industry to develop internships and work experiences for high school students, identify best practices for career pathways, and strengthen inter-agency relationships to serve as an effective point of contact for schools and industry.

Requires annual reporting on progress toward these goals as part of the State Workforce Development Council's Colorado Talent Report.

Takes effect August 5, 2015, subject to possible referendum petition and approval by voters in November 2016.
