HB 15-1202 Summary

• Allows licensing authorities to reissue expired alcohol beverage licenses if the license has been expired for more than 90 days but less than 180 days, at the sole discretion of the licensing authority.

• Licensees seeking reissuance must submit an application and pay a $500 late application fee plus $25 per day for each day the license remained expired beyond 90 days.

• Licensees may continue operating while their reissuance application is under review by both local and state licensing authorities.

• Limits reissuance approvals to a maximum of three times within any five-year period for each licensee.

• If a licensing authority denies a reissuance application, the licensee must apply for a new license and cannot sell alcohol until all required licenses are obtained.
