Department of Public Health and Environment must promulgate rules by January 1, 2017 establishing continuing education requirements for administrators of assisted living facilities, developed in consultation with the advisory committee under section 25-27-110.

Continuing education requirements must include at least one credit hour on ethics and at least one credit hour on employee management.

Department shall report progress on establishing continuing education requirements to the Public Health Care and Human Services Committee of the Senate and the Health, Insurance, and Environment Committee of the House during departmental presentations for the 2016 and 2017 legislative sessions.

Act takes effect August 5, 2015, unless a referendum petition is filed, in which case the act takes effect only if approved by voters at the November 2016 general election.
