HB 15-1304 Summary

• Division of Wildlife must gather information about, consider, and evaluate all available management tools to address black bear population management and bear-human conflicts year-round.

• Division shall report its findings by December 31, 2015, to the House Agriculture, Livestock, and Natural Resources Committee and the Senate Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Energy Committee.

• Section 33-9-110 is repealed effective July 1, 2016, making this a temporary study requirement.

• Act takes effect August 5, 2015, or subject to referendum petition provisions and potential approval by voters in November 2016.
