• Requires the public trustee to include an information sheet outlining key provisions of foreclosure statutes with all notices sent to interested parties in foreclosure proceedings.

• The information sheet must be approved by the Attorney General initially and whenever relevant statute language changes.

• Information sheet must include instructions on obtaining full statute text, the Colorado General Assembly website address, and a disclaimer that the sheet is not legal advice and statutes control in case of inconsistencies.

• Replaces the previous requirement to send copies of selected statutes with the more concise information sheet approach.

• Takes effect January 1, 2016, subject to referendum petition and approval; applies to foreclosure proceedings with notice of election and demand filed on or after the effective date.
