• Acknowledges that 22 veterans commit suicide daily in the United States and notes that many veterans fall through gaps in the support system despite available services

• Recognizes Colorado Serves, a 2013 collaboration between state government, federal government, nonprofits, and veteran service organizations formed to better connect resources for veterans throughout the state

• Calls for increased collaboration and information sharing between community organizations, local governments, behavioral health providers, higher education institutions, and the business community to serve veterans and their families
