Recognizes and expresses appreciation to Colorado public school teachers for their work and dedication to educating the state's children and youth.

Notes that more than 51,000 teachers served in Colorado public schools as of 2014 and continue to provide quality education despite recent budget cuts.

Acknowledges that teachers serve multiple roles including mentors, role models, and motivators while directing extracurricular activities that enrich student experiences.

Designates May 5, 2015, as Colorado Teacher Day in conjunction with National Teacher Day.

Encourages all Coloradans to support teachers who educate the state's children and youth.
