• All employees with teaching responsibilities, including part-time instructors, must be classified as faculty in Colorado's community and technical colleges effective June 30, 2016.

• Classified faculty receive the same responsibilities, benefits, and freedoms as regular faculty commensurate with education, training, experience, and teaching skill, including participation in governance, job security (health care, retirement, multi-year contracts), and access to due process and academic freedom.

• Course assignments are based on seniority determined by total course hours taught, with preference first to previously full-time faculty; colleges may replace this system with a faculty-developed alternative after three years.

• The state board must implement a fiscally sustainable multi-year plan to achieve comparable compensation among all faculty, with salaries commensurate to their education, training, experience, and teaching skill.

• Employees classified as adjunct instructors with 90 or more credit hours taught receive immediate access to due process; college presidents must ensure all faculty can equally participate in governance meetings and state-level advisory councils.
