SB15-119 Summary

• Extends the termination date for regulation of pesticide applicators by the Colorado Commissioner of Agriculture from July 1, 2015 to September 1, 2023.

• Changes record-keeping requirements to require retention of pesticide application records for three years for commercial applicators and two years for private applicators.

• Requires limited commercial and public applicators applying certain general-use pesticides to receive training in core elements of pesticide use and maintain training records as designated by the commissioner.

• Expands the advisory committee from 11 to 15 members and adds representatives from beekeeper associations, agricultural workers, and organic agricultural producers, with expertise requirements for public health and environmental representatives.

• Directs the commissioner to provide public internet access to finalized enforcement action information within 30 days of final disposition and requires the Department of Regulatory Agencies to review pesticide regulation authority.
