CO SB138

Allows local education providers to expend ASCENT program funding for students enrolled in higher education institutions during the current budget year and for admitted students beginning the next budget year.

Requires local education providers to certify admitted ASCENT program participants to the department by May 10 each year.

Requires local education providers to remit unused ASCENT program funding back to the department at the end of the budget year for any participants not on the certified list.

Directs amounts remitted by school districts and institute charter schools under this section to be deposited in the state public school fund instead of the general fund for future appropriations.
