SB 15-144: Supplemental Appropriation to the Department of Corrections

• Amends the fiscal year 2014-2015 budget for the Colorado Department of Corrections by modifying Part II of HB 14-1336 appropriations

• Total appropriation of $798,907,893 to the Department of Corrections, with $711,184,153 from General Fund and $40,096,980 from cash funds and other sources

• Funds personnel services, operating expenses, and programs across corrections management, institutions, support services, inmate programs, community services, parole board, correctional industries, and canteen operations

• Authorizes transfer of up to 5.0 percent of external capacity subprogram appropriations between line items for payments to local jails, private prisons, and community corrections providers

• Includes directive that salary survey increases apply as base-building for Corrections Case Managers, Corrections/Youth/Clinical Officers, and Community Parole Officers up to or above range maximums
