SB15-167 Summary

• Allows the general assembly to appropriate up to $4,744,254 from marijuana tax cash fund revenues received in 2014-15 to support programs funded through Senate Bill 14-215, effective only for fiscal year 2014-15 and repealing July 1, 2015.

• Reduces the transfer from marijuana tax cash fund to the general fund on June 30, 2015 from $4,260,000 to $3,108,369.

• Adjusts appropriations from marijuana tax cash fund to the Department of Revenue from $7,600,000 to $1,175,328 for fiscal year 2014-15.

• Modifies appropriations for behavioral health and substance abuse prevention programs across multiple departments, including reductions to health care policy and financing ($2,000,000 to $918,656) and adjustments to human services allocations for treatment services and jail-based behavioral health services.

• Allows unexpended funds appropriated to the Department of Human Services in fiscal year 2014-15 to carry forward to fiscal year 2015-16 for the same purposes.
