Prohibits sealing criminal conviction records for municipal assault or battery offenses when the underlying factual basis involves domestic violence as defined in section 18-6-800.3(1), C.R.S.

Extends the prohibition to any other municipal offense where the underlying factual basis involves domestic violence, not limited to assault and battery charges.

Amends Colorado Revised Statutes section 24-72-708, which previously allowed defendants to petition district courts to seal conviction records for petty and municipal offenses.

Includes a safety clause declaring the act necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
