Department of Revenue must track full-time equivalent personnel positions and hours dedicated to issuing, declining, modifying, or revoking information letters and private letter rulings.

The authority for the executive director of the Department of Revenue to issue information letters and private letter rulings terminates on September 1, 2023.

Prior to the September 1, 2023 termination date, the information letter and private letter ruling function shall be reviewed under the general assembly's regulatory agency review process.

The general assembly shall not continue to authorize the Department of Revenue to retain full-time equivalent employee positions for issuing information letters and private letter rulings after the section is repealed.

Bill was approved June 10, 2016, and declared necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
