HB16-1290 Summary

• Extends the Colorado transitional jobs program eligibility period from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2019, with no new jobs offered after December 31, 2018.

• Delays the repeal of the transitional jobs program from July 1, 2017 to July 1, 2022.

• Appropriates $1,151,628 from the general fund to the Department of Human Services, Office of Self Sufficiency for the 2016-17 fiscal year, based on the need for 1.0 additional FTE.

• Takes effect at 12:01 a.m. the day after final adjournment of the general assembly, subject to approval if a referendum petition is filed (August 10, 2016 if sine die adjournment is May 11, 2016).
