State Department of Health Care Policy and Financing shall seek federal authorization to implement a Medicaid buy-in program for adults eligible for home- and community-based services under the Supported Living Services Waiver, Persons with Brain Injury Waiver, and Spinal Cord Injury Waiver Pilot Program.

State Department must submit federal approval requests no later than January 1, 2017, and implement the Medicaid buy-in program within three months of receiving federal approval.

Appropriates $13,803 from the hospital provider fee cash fund to the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing's executive director's office for fiscal year 2016-17 for Medicaid management information system maintenance and projects.

General Assembly anticipates the department will receive $124,224 in federal funds for Medicaid management information system maintenance and projects in fiscal year 2016-17.

Act is declared necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
