Allows persons to file a correction statement with the Secretary of State to revoke a filed document that was delivered for filing in error, in addition to existing revocation procedures under section 7-90-304(3).

Requires correction statements that revoke documents to specify whether the revocation is pursuant to section 7-90-304(3) or because the document was delivered in error, whichever applies.

Establishes that correction statements are effective on the same date as the original filed document, except that persons who relied on the uncorrected document before revocation and were adversely affected receive protection when the correction is filed.

Takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following the ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly (August 10, 2016, if adjournment occurs on May 11, 2016), unless subject to referendum petition.

Applies to conduct occurring on or after the applicable effective date of the act.
