House Bill 16-1362 Summary

• Transfers functions of the license plate auction group to the Colorado disability funding committee, relocating relevant statutes from Title 42 to Part 22 of Article 30 of Title 24.

• Renames the "disability-benefit support contract committee" to the "Colorado disability funding committee" with 13 governor-appointed members, at least 7 of whom must have direct experience with disabilities.

• Creates two funds: the disability support fund and the disability investigational and pilot support fund, both funded by revenue from the sale of registration numbers and additional license plate options.
