• Licensed child care centers located at ski areas may allow children to enroll on a short-term basis of up to 15 days within a 15-consecutive-day period, no more than twice per calendar year with at least 60 days between periods, without obtaining immunization verification.

• Child care centers choosing to allow short-term enrollment without immunization records must provide notification to all parents that the center permits this practice.

• Defines "student" to exclude children enrolled in ski area child care centers for the specified short-term periods, exempting them from standard immunization requirements.

• Amends Colorado Revised Statutes sections 25-4-901, 25-4-902, and 26-6-106 to establish the exception for temporary ski area child care enrollment.

• Approved June 10, 2016, and declared necessary for immediate preservation of public peace, health, and safety.
