Proclaims the week of February 2-8, 2016, as Chicano History Week in Colorado, commemorating the signing of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo on February 2, 1848, recognized as the birth date of Chicanos.

Recognizes the contributions of people of Indigenous and Mexican origin and descent to Colorado and the nation in arts, business, media, industry, agriculture, education, and society.

Honors Colorado's pivotal role in the Chicano Movement starting in the 1960s, including Rodolfo "Corky" Gonzales' founding of the Crusade for Justice, the first national Chicano Youth Leadership Conference in March 1969, and Escuela Tlatelolco founded in 1970.

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to the Gonzales family, Latino advocacy organizations, Colorado History Museum, Denver Public Library, school district superintendents, municipal mayors, county commissioners, university college presidents, and Colorado's Congressional delegation.
