Colorado General Assembly honors Gold Star Families—families of military members who died in battle and military conflicts—and recognizes their sacrifice and grief.

Names Grace Darling Siebold, who founded American Gold Star Mothers in 1928 after her son's death in World War I, and notes Gold Star Mother's Day has been honored since 1936 on the last Sunday of September.

Recognizes Gold Star Families as a living legacy to fallen soldiers and acknowledges their loss, stating families with folded flags and empty seats at the table deserve respect and support.

Directs copies of the resolution be sent to commanders of American Legion Posts and Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts in Colorado, Colorado's active military bases, Pikes Peak Chapter of Gold Star Mothers, Denver Chapter of Gold Star Wives, and Blue Star Mothers of Colorado chapters.
