SB 16-012 Summary

• Amends Colorado Revised Statutes 39-1-102 to allow property owners additional time beyond January 1 to reconstruct residential improvements destroyed by natural causes without triggering a change in residential land classification.

• Requires property owners seeking additional time to provide documentary evidence to the assessor demonstrating a good-faith effort was made to construct or place the new residential improvement on the land during the initial period.
